L'Unesco a fourni à l’Afrique subsaharienne 35 000 supports d’enseignement à la lecture !

UNESCO has provided sub-Saharan Africa with 35,000 reading teaching materials!

Alphabet boards were delivered by UNESCO to support reading instruction in several schools in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa. Educational kits were delivered for students and teachers.

The French Development Agency funded this initiative as part of the “educational resources” project, and UNESCO and the French Institute implemented the project. Their goals are to improve access for primary and secondary school students to a variety of quality educational resources in several French-speaking sub-Saharan African countries.

These educational resources are essential to improving the quality of student learning.

These boards were designed to provide support for teaching French reading to students in the final year of kindergarten and first grade of primary school. They are in the form of large wall posters and present the 26 letters of the alphabet in upper and lower case.

These are real educational tools for teachers whose aim is to improve learning to read by developing phonological and alphabetic awareness.
