In Fissel Diop Veligara, Senegal, drinking water is a scarce commodity. Families have to fetch water from several kilometers away or use contaminated sources, endangering their health and limiting the community's development.
This project aims to drill a well equipped with a hand pump to ensure permanent access to clean and safe water. By reducing waterborne diseases and the time spent collecting water, this well will free women and children from heavy burdens and significantly improve their daily lives.
Access to water is much more than a vital need: it is a lever for dignity, health and local development.
